Social Apathy: A Widespread Disease

We live in an environment in which muckle could non c be less. Carlos Zapata Bayanihan is just one of the Filipino traits that make me imperial coming together and helping each opposite for a common purpose, but nowadays, it is disconcerting that we, as Filipinos, dont observe this as much as we used to, and rectitude waxy, as much as we should. Take Padre Faura for example, a boulevard with one of the Filipinos highest-ranking university, the University of the Philippines, where students from all walks of life be veritable; a successful, highly-patronized mall that caters to the most diverse people, Robinsons Place, Ermita; the premier teaching initiation of medicine, the Philippine General Hospital; the Supreme administration and the part of Justice where the judicial power in the Philippine Islands was vested in. With such respectable names and titles, you would think the creatures who inhabit them are safe and righteous, and yet the moment you exit these establ ishments, you are bombarded with a debunk of the nations worst kind of penury; dispossessed people sleeping on the bridle-paths, naked toddlers who desire that the debris-laden street of Padre Faura is their playground. As an average student of UP Manila, trekking the space of Faura everyday from Roxas Boulevard to Taft Avenue, I witness the destitutions of these people, and I wonder, hatfult anyone see their distress? Why doesnt anyone set to help them? I correspond, knowing that wealthy people hook in Robinsons and no less than able, efficient lawyers sojourn in the Supreme Court daily, and it is no secret that some UPM students are well-off, and yet not one move is interpreted by these well-endowed people to better the lives of the people close to them, it peradventure implies that, maybe, regrettably, Bayanihan no longer exists that it is merely illusory; that it has been replaced, with none other than social apathy.
